Black moms' spending power is growing at a more accelerated rate and they control the lion's share of the total Black spending power, which will reach $1.5 trillion in 2023. These women not only influence what other Black generations (Baby Boomers, Generation X) and what Black men spend their money on, but as early adopters of trends, Black women also influence the general population. And yet -Black moms are still a population that goes consistently overlooked, and advertisers are without a doubt missing out on opportunities to get in front of this influential audience that wields massive purchasing power.
In this session, Tika Sumpter and Thai Randolph, co-founders of Sugaberry, a lifestyle brand and community for modern moms of color, will cover those burning questions: How do you get in front of Black moms? How do you engage this audience in an authentic way? What motivates Black women to give their stamp of approval and welcome your brand into their homes?
