Executives from both the National Geographic Society and the Outdoor Advertising Association of America (OAAA) will discuss the success of this summer's nation-wide out of home campaign supporting the National Geographic Photo Ark—a project that uses the power of photography to inspire people to help save species at risk before it’s too late. The panel will discuss campaign strategy and results, share interesting stories about the project, and explain what we all can do to #SaveTogether.

Photo Ark is a multiyear project led by National Geographic photographer Joel Sartore, who has made it his life’s mission to photograph every species living in the world’s zoos and wildlife sanctuaries. This comprehensive archive of images is an irreplaceable record of species that inhabit our planet today—many of which need our help.

Photo Ark images appeared on more than 45,000 print and digital out of home signs across America, in cities big and small. The campaign creative encouraged people to help by donating to support the Photo Ark and spread the word to raise awareness about species conservation by taking a selfie with one of the animals featured in the campaign, then sharing it on social media with the hashtag #SaveTogether.

The panel will explain why this out of home campaign was launched and how it has helped support the important goals of the Photo Ark project. View Less
