Wendell Wenjen is director of Smart TV Advertising and Interactive TV Platforms for LG Electronics. Since joining LG in 2010, he has been responsible for strategy, business development, and partnerships for LG’s US Smart TV advertising and interactive TV initiatives. He led the strategy and implementation of the LG’s first Smart TV advertising service which launched in the US in November 2011 and recently launched LG’s LivePlus interactive TV platform with Showtime Networks. He has discussed how Smart TV’s have opened new opportunities for content producers, networks and advertisers at a variety of events including Advertising Week, TV of Tomorrow, Digital Hollywood, iMedia Video Summit, Digiday Brand Summit, NATPE and Videonuze Online Video Advertising Summit.
Prior to LG, Wendell held a variety of marketing and business development leadership roles in the technology industry including Intel Corporation, Acer and Flextronics. Wendell holds bachelors of science and masters of engineering degrees in electrical and computer engineering from Harvey Mudd College and an MBA in marketing from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
