JON LIEBMAN is Chief Executive Officer and Co-Owner of Brillstein Entertainment Partners, Hollywood’s premier talent management/production company.
A 35 year-old company based in Los Angeles and New York, Brillstein Entertainment Partners manages the global media and entertainment aspects of the careers of hundreds of actors, writers, producers and directors. In addition, the company works with selected brands and emerging companies to help them navigate the world of entertainment and media. Over the years, Brillstein has produced many acclaimed network and cable television shows and motion pictures which have been distributed worldwide.
As CEO, Liebman oversees the management and production businesses of the company and works closely with many of the company’s clients. His work involves television, motion pictures, new media, publishing, advertising and marketing, commercial endorsements, and licensing.
Liebman was Executive Producer of “In Memoriam: New York City 9/11/01,” a highly acclaimed HBO documentary that raised over $1 million for the victims of the September 11 tragedy. He was nominated for a Prime Time Emmy Award in 2002 as Executive Producer of “In Memoriam.” The documentary won The Peabody Silver Baton Award in the 2003 Annual Alfred duPont-Columbia University Awards for excellence in broadcast journalism.
Liebman serves as Executive Producer of “Resurrection,” which debuts on ABC in March 2014, and is produced by Brillstein Entertainment Partners and Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment.
Liebman is an active member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Pacific Council on International Policy. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles Sports and Entertainment Commission and on the Advisory Board of Quirky. He has written, taught and lectured on the entertainment business and legal matters, including guest lectures at USC, USC Law School, Yale College and Columbia Law School.
Mr. Liebman graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Yale College in 1981. He graduated from Yale Law School in 1985 and clerked for United States District Judge Leonard B. Sand in Manhattan. He served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York and was appointed Deputy Chief of the Criminal Division after four years in the U.S. Attorney’s office.
