Amara La Negra

Amara la Negra is an international entertainer, singer/songwriter, actress, model, philanthropist, and star of Canela’s successful "Secretos de las Indomables" franchise, a pop-culture sensation that has everyone in the Latino entertainment world talking. With a Spanish and Caribbean background, Amara self-describes as eccentric, vibrant, and ambitious.

Her role as VH1’s "Love & Hip Hop: Miami" breakout star put her in the spotlight as a musical artist, TV personality, as well as a staple in the Afro-Latinx community. Amara uses her platform to speak up about issues within the community including colorism and a lack of representation in the media. Amara’s work outside of the show made room for her to grow in film, TV, and entrepreneurial opportunities. She has appeared on stage with Latin American music legends like Celia Cruz, Gloria Estefan, Tito Puente, and more.

Recognized as a Latinx Activist Icon, Amara has been featured in Time Magazine, ABC News, People En Espanol, and more.
