Michael Balabanov

As the VP, Agency Development at Criteo, Michael Balabanov leads a team of commerce specialists who work with the top agencies in North America to drive revenue growth and strategic business partnerships. With more than 14 years of experience in online advertising, marketing strategy, and media sales, Michael has continued to successfully deliver results for clients and publishers across a diverse range of verticals and platforms.
Prior to joining Criteo in November 2021, Michael was the SVP, Advertising, North America at The Guardian, where he oversaw the sales and operations for the US and Canadian markets, and launched new products and initiatives to grow the brand's digital presence and revenue. Before that, he held various leadership roles at Oath and Meredith Corporation, where he managed key accounts, developed innovative solutions, and built strong relationships with political, advocacy, and PR clients.
