Joshua Coombes

Joshua Coombes is a London-based hairdresser who you may have seen recently on the news with his project to give the capital’s homeless free haircuts. On average, Joshua cuts up to 10 homeless people’s hair each week, posting pictures on Instagram to show the transformation. His personal hope is that the haircut boosts the individual’s self-confidence and potentially helps them to get off the street.

Joshua collaborates on the project with street photographer Matt Spracklen and Dave Burt: CEO of Be Social Global, using the hashtag #DoSomethingforNothing, encouraging people to help others. He also won Men’s Stylist Of The Year 2016 at the London Hair and Beauty Awards.
