Award-winning, Australian director Kim Gehrig’s diverse body of work spans commercials, music videos, documentaries, short films and content.
Kim initially moved to London to study at Central St Martins. Her career began with an art direction role at advertising agency Mother before she was drawn to film. She soon started amassing music videos commissions for the likes of Calvin Harris, Primal Scream and Mark Ronson, before winning Kim a UK Music Video Award for her hugely popular Wiley ‘Cash In My Pocket’ promo.
Kim’s first commercial film for Amnesty International received global recognition at the Cannes Lions. Next came her Ikea spot ‘You’ll Always Find Me In The Kitchen At Parties’ which was named No. 1 television commercial by Campaign magazine. Her debut feature documentary, Beat 2012, was made in collaboration with Coca-Cola and Mark Ronson and explored the idea of talent in both sport and music. It was picked up by over 40 countries and accrued more than 10 million views.
