Mark Earls

Few over the last decade have done more to popularize contemporary behavioural and cognitive science for marketers and market researchers than Mark. His work highlighting our fundamentally social nature is particularly influential: his books Welcome to the Creative Age (Wiley 2003) HERD (Wiley 2007 & 2009) and I’ll Have What She’s Having (with Professors Alex Bentley and Mike O’Brien 2011 MIT Press) are widely read and discussed far beyond marketing and market research and have been translated into a number of languages. He is currently working on the next book (due Autumn 2014) is about how to make copying your primary innovation & strategy tool.

Mark is much in demand as a speaker around the world around the world and his consulting business HERD Consulting has enjoyed a diverse client list in recent years, Channel 4 TV, EA Games,, Unilever, UK Department of Health, Bacardi-Martini, Converse, UK Ministry of Defence, Kimberly Clark, Experian, The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Intuit, RSA Insurance, Brainjuicer PLC and Sony Electronics.

Mark is a business leader of the Marketing Society, a fellow of the RSA and an ambassador of The School of Life but mostly he’d rather be fishing.
