Julia Cheney is the Cultural Marketing Lead for Google’s Devices and Services team, steering marketing partnerships across sports, music and entertainment - including the NBA & WNBA work, our talent lead initiatives with Megan Rapinoe, Candace Parker and Kelsey Plum and ensuring diverse investments in historically underfunded initiatives to amplify new voices. She is focused on developing and facilitating the hardware team's strategic marketing approach across cultural touchpoints. Previous to Google, Julia spent almost a decade at CAA in their brand consulting division as a Global Account Director, building and executing sponsorship marketing platforms for a variety of clients, and was at GMR working with Visa prior to that. Born and raised deep in the Pacific NW, Julia graduated from the University of Pennsylvania as a 4 year letterwinner and All-Ivy selection in softball before going on to begin her career at the NBA.
