Sean McCaffrey
Sean McCaffrey is President and CEO of the new GSTV. In this role, Sean’s focus is driving business growth through understanding the evolution of the media landscape, the consumer journey and consumer behavioral insights leveraging data, technology and scale of the company’s expanding platform. Continuing a relentless focus on energizing GSTV’s customer base and partnerships, delivering value to brand, agency and retailer partners, he works to ensure a fresh and entertaining consumer experience is built across the country.
A passionate and collaborative media executive, Sean previously served as EVP – Client Strategy & Partnerships at Clear Channel Outdoor, Americas. While at CCO he led all strategic revenue activity with leading agency and brand partners and pioneered new product and partnership approaches to OOH, DOOH and integrated media campaigns. He likewise led global media partnerships with CCO’s multi- national scale and brand relationships along with enterprise. partnerships shared with iHeartMedia. He’s been continually focused on driving business results through understanding the evolution of media channels, the consumer journey, and the power of content to drive a brand and consumer interaction. Following the evolution of consumer behavior drives his constant curiosity.
Sean has been a featured speaker at major industry events including CES, Cannes Lions and more and published in major industry trades on the evolution of DOOH, the evolution of the consumer journey and media innovation. Prior to GSTV, Sean held a variety of media sales and leadership positions across North American markets and regions. He began his career at a small private-equity backed media company which ultimately grew to a 9-figure IPO and subsequent acquisition and consolidation of an industry sector. Working for both small and large organizations and public and private ownership, he has a broad point-of-view of managing organizational change, integration, business growth strategy and collaborative leadership and vision.
Sean is currently a board member of the Ad Council and DPAA and member of the OAAA – Innovations Committee amongst other professional organizations. He graduated from Drake University with a BA in Journalism and Mass Communication and lives in Manhattan with his wife Francine, three dogs and two children. His interest in advertising grew from watching billboards from the back seat and those iconic brands on drives to the family lake house.
