Kathryn Friedrich

Kathryn Friedrich is the Chief Business Officer of RYOT Studio, Oath’s next-generation creative studio that connects brands to consumers through creative storytelling and distribution. She brings more than 20 years of digital advertising and media sales experience to Oath and will lead the global growth of RYOT Studio.

Prior to joining Oath, Kathryn was the chief marketing and revenue officer at Thrive Global, where she collaborated with Arianna Huffington to build a well-being company that changed the way people work and live. The company outperformed 99% of all startups in 2017, working with notable customers including Accenture, JPMorgan Chase, Hilton and Viacom.

Previously, she spent the better part of nearly a decade at Google, where she held multiple leadership positions. In her last role, she ran YouTube’s global content monetization team with $5B+ in global revenue operations and a 1M+ creator ecosystem​. Prior to that role, she launched YouTube’s branded content studio, and was the general manager for Google’s video ad products. She has also held senior executive roles at Hearst, Conde Nast, American Express Publishing and KPMG.

Kathryn graduated from Cornell University with a bachelor’s degree. She is an avid skier and golfer, and enjoys travel with her husband and two sons who also share her passions.
