Karen Salama

Karen Salama is the CEO and Founder of High Potential Ventures, LLC, producer of BRAND U Events. BRAND U Events is a talent accelerator whose mission is to cultivate and empower high-potential mid-level executives to become next generation thought-leaders.

A marketing and communications leader, Karen has over 15 years experience building in-house and global practices, as well as managing, developing and implementing initiatives across multiple industries and disciplines, including Entertainment, Retail, Global Affairs, Education, Not-for-Profit, Arts, Travel, Health Care and Startup Ventures.

Karen’s passion for cultivating tomorrow’s thought leaders has only grown throughout her career. Prior to starting her own business, she spearheaded a collaboration between the not-for-profit organization Canadian Friends of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (CFHU) and NY Knicks basketball player Amar'e Stoudemire, to develop education programs for “at-risk-youth” in Israel. She also partnered with CFHU on the rebranding of a worldwide innovation and entrepreneurship initiative entitled, “The Next Einstein.”  

Karen also served as Director of Marketing for the documentary IMAX 3-D film, JERUSALEM, distributed by National Geographic and winner of the 2014 Giant Screen Cinema Awards for Best Film, Short Subject and Best Cinematography.

Throughout the course of her career, Karen has had the privilege of working with many other notable organizations, including the Council on Foreign Relations, J.Walter Thompson, American Express, Novartis Pharmaceuticals, International AIDS Vaccine Initiative, The Asia Society, Christies Auction House and Wine Spectator Magazine.
