Eduardo Lebrija is Senior Vice President and General Director for Northern Latin America and Pan-regional Ad Sales in Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) Americas. Based in Mexico City, Lebrija reports into Pierluigi Gazzolo, President of VIMN Americas and EVP of Nickelodeon International.
Since joining VIMN in 2010, Lebrija has been instrumental in elevating the sustained growth of VIMN brands and in strengthening business alliances with major brands and partners for MTV, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., Comedy Central, Paramount Channel and VH1, and their secondary channels, as well as the expansion of Viacom in Mexico and its LOBs. Lebrija's strategic vision has been key for the company's pan-regional growth and cross-platform business consolidation, by driving strategic actions of commercial and local production, programming, content for television, digital television, band broadband, Internet and Video On Demand (VOD). In 2019, Lebrija has assumed the pan-regional supervision of Ad Sales, where he leads the advertising sales teams in Latin America.
Under his leadership, VIMN launched in Mexico the signals Nick Jr., Comedy Central and Paramount Channel, the TV-on-demand platform suite MTV Play, Nickelodeon Play, Comedy Central Play, as well as NOGGIN, Nickelodeon’s SVOD service for preschoolers. Additionally, Lebrija has been instrumental in creating the most important Viacom events in the region such as the Kids' Choice Awards, Verano Nick, Día del Juego, Comedy Fest, MTV MIAW Awards, MTV World Stage and nine editions of the legendary musical franchise MTV Unplugged, among others.
With extensive experience in the fields of media, pay television and telecommunications, Lebrija joined Viacom in 2010 to lead VIMN Mexico’s local operations. In 2015, he assumed the leadership of Viacom Central America and the Caribbean and in 2017 he added the Andean market to his responsibilities, being a key piece in strengthening Viacom brands in Colombia, Peru, Venezuela and Ecuador.
Before joining VIMN, Lebrija was essential in the advertising sales team of Sony Pictures Television in Mexico, where he was responsible for developing the marketing strategy for nine pay television channels. Previously, Lebrija belonged to the commercial sales team of the Marketing and Advertising departments of companies such as Pegaso PCS and Telefonica Moviles Mexico. Lebrija has a Master’s Degree in Business, Management and Marketing for the School of Management and Marketing (ESIC) in Madrid, Spain, a Specialty in Marketing and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico.
