Cory Founded COLOüRS in 2003. COLOüRS creates memorable experiences to connect brands and celebrities with consumers who share a passion for fashion, art, music, entertainment, and sports (FAMES). COLOüRS services the booming advertising market in Mexico via three vertically integrated subsidiaries specializing in brand communication, content creation, event marketing and talent management. The firm produces more than 150 events and festivals annually, including their own Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Mexico.
Cory studied business administration at UDLA and worked in Sales and Marketing for Unilever Mexico and Argentina. In 2003 he left Unilever to create COLOüRS as an alternative marketing agency focused on bringing big ideas to life. Within 2 years, the firm represented several top brands and Cory saw a chance to channel his team's passion and creative expertise to create two spin-off businesses.
First, COLOüRS disrupted the Agency game in Mexico through the creation of proprietary Platforms that transformed into assets generating their own content for the FAMES' audiences. These self-created brands connect with the consumer through big format massive events such as the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Mexico and he Riviera Maya beach festival, Winter Beach. Platforms have become media, concentrating a devoted following that demands content on an ongoing basis and therefore creates ample opportunities for connecting with brands and creating value by monetizing all touch points.
In 2012, Cory and Jorge Mondragón, one of the most respected talent managers in LatAm, founded the first official talent agency in Mexico, CMX Talent. They represent more that 100 top Mexican and Hispanic talents in music, sports and entertainment, offering wider career paths to the talent they manage given the unique network that COLOüRS can provide.
Cory has been amply recognized as a disruptive entrepreneur in Mexico. He was awarded the title of high-impact star entrepreneur by Endeavor in 2015. His vision for the transformation of the Fashion industry in Mexico has guided the efforts of Fashion Week Mexico City for the last 10 years. The aim is not only to showcase the creative work of Mexico's top designers in a world-class event, but to also promote the sustainable development of the whole fashion value chain. Successful efforts have included the first business-acceleration program for fashion designers, produces alongside the top design university and the leading luxury retailer in the country. The graduates of this acceleration program are now flourishing fashion entrepreneurs with a global projection, among them Lorena Sarabia and Alexia Ulibarri.
