Steve leads the Planning, Insight and Research functions for the AOL UK businesses, comprised of owned and operated properties (AOL, The Huffington Post, Engadget, TechCrunch) and AOL Platforms businesses Advertising.com, AOP, Be On and AOL On.
He joined AOL in January 2013 as Head of Commercial Planning, responsible for the external positioning of the AOL business and brands within it. In the past 12 months Steve has extended his role to drive AOL’s research strategy in the UK. He was responsible for The Native Age, a groundbreaking thought leadership study into Native Advertising that won the 2014 AOP Award for best Research Project. Most recently he lead Programmatic Futures, an industry-wide study into the relationship between programmatic advertising and creativity.
Prior to joining AOL Steve worked as Commercial Planning Director for Future Publishing. In his career to date he has also held senior planning roles at Carat, Associated Newspapers, Bauer Media and Initiative.
