As GM of EMEA for mobile-location ad platform xAd, he is tasked with driving the expansion of the xAd platform, building the regions sales plan and managing a team of internationally-minded BD talent.
Prior to xAd, Theo served as the Senior VP, EMEA at Videology where he worked with advertisers and publishers building cross device opportunities in online video. He also spent a number of years at Apple as Head of Sales and Strategy for iAd in EMEA, building the BD organisation and working on innovative and forward-thinking partnerships with some of the world’s largest advertisers. He previously fulfilled a similar role at Microsoft as EMEA Head of Sales for Mobile Advertising, where he grew their team, inventory and publisher network of third-party sites, including the launch of MSN Mobile’s ad product in multiple markets. He joined Microsoft as part of the ScreenTonic acquisition, where he drove the first mobile advertising banner formats on Orange’s mobile platform and also helped recruit major clients including MSN, Disney and Virgin Mobile.
Theo has a detailed understanding of the challenges facing both advertisers and publishers in the new multi-screen digital world, having worked with a range of publishers during his career, including Hachette Filiapacchi, Informa and VNU Business Publications among others. He is also a Mobile Marketing Association board member and active at many industry events.
