Cortney Lovell

Cortney Lovell is a public health professional who currently serves as a Director of Practice Improvement and Consulting at the National Council for Mental Wellbeing. In this role, Cortney provides project direction and other critical support to multiple practice improvement projects, including CDC-funded initiatives and the National Council’s public health portfolio. Cortney brings nearly 15 years of experience working within substance use, harm reduction and peer support services. She actively serves on the National Academy of Medicine’s Opioid Collaborative and the Foundation for Opioid Response Effort's Scientific Advisory Council. Prior to joining the National Council, Cortney worked throughout the US and abroad to expand mental health and substance use peer support training, credentialing and integration through various roles and capacities.
