Dr. Marcus Collins

Marcus Collins is one-part practitioner, one-part academic. He works in advertising—putting ideas in the world as an Advertising Age "40 Under 40” recipient—and he works in academia where he puts people in the world as a Professor of Marketing at the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan.

This duality uniquely shapes his perspective and, ultimately, his practice. Throughout his career, Marcus has worked with some of the biggest brands in the world (Apple, Nike, Beyoncé, McDonald's, Anheuser-Busch) and launched culturally contagious campaigns like the Cliff Paul Campaign for State Farm, the Made In America Music Festival for Budweiser, and the Brooklyn Nets' move from NJ to NY. Marcus is a Detroit-native and, most importantly, Alex’s husband and Georgia and Ivy’s father.
