Chana Ginelle Ewing
Chana is a cultural entrepreneur, long obsessed with storytelling and marketing that instigates a more equitable society. Working across film/entertainment, beauty, publishing and tech, Chana links brand marketing, DEI, and community strategy for growth and impact. She is the Director of Marketing at Skillcrush, an online coding school on a mission to support career changers—especially those marginalized by gender, race, and/or age—to learn in-demand tech skills and land higher-paying and more fulfilling jobs. Chana is also the author of the bestselling children’s book “An ABC of Equality;" and the founder/CEO of GEENIE, a culture-first beauty platform for undiscovered creators. Previously, Chana led digital marketing campaigns for Emmy award-winning and Oscar-nominated documentaries; clients included Netflix, PBS, Discovery, Firelight Media, and various production companies. Originally from Boston’s Black cultural center—Roxbury, Chana graduated from UVA and now lives in Brooklyn. While Chana is the CEO and Founder of Geenie, she is also Director of Marketing at Skillcrush and will be speaking on behalf of them for this panel session.
