Rafael Urbina

Rafael Urbina-Quintero is the General Manager and Executive Vice President of AVOD Streaming at TelevisaUnivision Inc., the world’s leading Spanish-language content and media company. In this role, Urbina oversees the company’s broader streaming and digital portfolio, including all owned and operated consumer-facing properties such as ViX, Univision.com, TUDN.com, Lasestrellas.tv, as well as its slate of digital and social media offerings.

Under Urbina’s leadership, TelevisaUnivision accelerated the launch of PrendeTV, the first streaming channels-based and VOD service created specifically for U.S. Hispanic audiences. Then, he led the merging of PrendeTV into ViX, the first global large-scale streaming service created specifically for the Spanish-speaking world. As Founder and CEO of ViX, Urbina led the acquisition of VIX by Univision in January of 2021.
