As Senior Manager of Media Strategy at Best Buy, Dan Murphy is responsible for paid media strategy and execution across digital, social, and traditional media. He manages teams that drive media effectiveness for categories like Gaming, TV & Video, Major Appliances and Computing, as well as the Back-to-School drive time. He’s also overseen a three-year sponsorship with the NFL, making Best Buy the Official Home Entertainment Retailer of the league.
Dan supports Best Buy’s commitment to spend $1.2 billion with BIPOC and diverse businesses by 2025 by overseeing increases in media spend to BIPOC owned publishers, while also increasing spend to reach BIPOC audiences.
Prior to Best Buy, Dan spent time at various agencies in the Minneapolis market working on brands like Buffalo Wild Wings, Jack Link’s, and Subaru. Outside of work Dan is busy raising his three grade-school children with his wife. He’s an alumnus of St John’s University (MN) and serves on their J-Club Athletics Booster Board.
