Erin Schaefer

Erin joined Niantic in October 2020 where she is the VP of Revenue and Global Operations. Founded in 2011 and spun out from Google in 2015, Niantic, the creator of Pokemon GO, is the world’s leading augmented reality technology company, sparking creative and engaging journeys in the real world through games. As a member of Niantic’s Executive Leadership Team, Erin oversees brand partnerships and advertising sales, customer support for 40M+ users, data operations (including building a 3D map of the world), and trust and safety efforts.

Prior to joining Niantic, Erin spent 14 years at Google where she led global teams in multiple operating functions - Sales, Partnerships, Operations, People and Finance - and consistently over-delivered against big company-level goals across Advertising, YouTube and Google Cloud. Erin holds a B.A. in Political Science from Stanford University and a M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
