As Metaverse platforms evolve and multiply, so too are the instances of bullying in our emerging immersive and 3D virtual world. A recent study noted that 44% are very concerned about cyberbullying and online abuse in the metaverse, while personal safety and sexual harassment were cited as concerns by 39% and 38% of respondents, respectively.
This scenario is nothing new. Traditional social media platforms continue to confront toxic content, with “community management” a critical function to counteract online negativity.
