In this session...

Former NBA Superstar Jason Collins made headlines when he came out as gay. His story is like so many in advertising and business in general — individuals who stay in the closet because it feels like a safer space.

But the world is missing out on the diversity of views LGBTQ+ individuals have when they can bring their whole selves to the workplace — be it on the court, in a meeting or in collaboration with others.

In a panel moderated by Lisa Granatstein, Chief Content Officer at Front Office Sports, hear Jason Collins talk about his decision to come out. They will be joined in conversation by Reckitt CMO Gary Osifchin, and DNA Chairman Alan Brown, who will share their personal stories and share learnings and insights on why coming out is good for people, brands and businesses.

What You'll Learn from This Session...

  1. You will get an update on the state of LGBTQ+ representation in the advertising industry.
  2. Learn what stands in the way of LGBTQ+ people coming out at work.
  3. Learn why coming out and being out at work is good for business.
