Given that nearly one in five U.S. adults lives with a mental illness, and there’s mounting evidence that the ratios maybe even higher for the creatively minded, the ad industry needs to make mental health a priority. Mike Caguin will outline for the four in five people who aren’t suffering from a mental illness how to be empathetic and better coworkers and supervisors to those who are.

Talking and writing about mental illness is not what Mike Caguin thought he’d be doing as a CCO. But his daughter’s experience with depression and anxiety, as well as learning about his staff’s experiences, has made him an advocate for opening up. Given that nearly one in five U.S. adults lives with a mental illness, and there’s mounting evidence that the ratios maybe even higher for the creatively minded, it’s foolish for us not to address the issue. Through humility and candor, Mike will convince you it’s not only the right thing to do, it’s in our best interests as businesses. View Less
