Erik Piepenburg

Erik Piepenburg is the features editor at Serino Coyne, a live entertainment advertising agency. Prior to joining Serino Coyne, he was a writer, editor and producer on the culture desk at The New York Times for over 14 years. For over a decade he was the Times's digital theater editor, responsible for content on multiple platforms. In addition to writing features and managing interactive projects, he originated and produced several theater-related franchises, including Tony Awards concerts at Feinstein's/54 Below; In Performance, a popular music and monologue video series; and Behind the Poster, a regular series about theater poster design. His work has also appeared in Out, Time Out and many other publications. He began his journalism career at NBC in Chicago, where he was a digital producer for MSNBC.com. Erik is originally from Cleveland and loves donuts.
