Marc Ecko

Marc is an entrepreneur (though he hates that word), fashion and media guy, angel investor, advocate for creators and education reformer.

He founded Marc Ecko Enterprises in 1993, the entity that yielded Ecko Unltd., Marc Ecko Cut & Sew, Zoo York and a host of global fashion trademarks sold to Iconix Brand group in 2009.

Marc is also the Founder and Chief Brand Officer of Complex, the world’s most relevant voice in pop culture, period. For over a decade, Complex has been providing a unique POV on fashion, entertainment, lifestyle, and cultural news to young male tastemakers. Complex Media includes 110+ websites that generate more than 1.4 billion page views and 135 Million unique visitors
per month.

Ecko serves as an emeritus board member to the Council of Fashion Designers of America, Big Picture Learning and Tikva Children’s Home.

Marc received an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters degree from Rutgers University in 2009. (Yes, you can call him Dr. Eckō.)
