Bill Koenigsberg

Bill Koenigsberg founded Horizon Media in 1989, with leadership and client service as its central tenets. Today, with more than $6.3 billion in client investments and more than 1,200 employees, Horizon is the largest and fastest-growing privately-held media agency in the world, representing clients including GEICO, Capital One, Burger King and A+E Networks. The agency has been featured as an incredible workplace for consecutive years by publications including Crain’s New York, Los Angeles Business Journal and Advertising Age and Adweek.

In 2014, Bill was inducted to the Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame, which honors pioneers and innovators of the electronic arts. In 2014, Bill was the first media executive to be named board chair of the 4A’s and is the only person to receive the prestigious Advertising Age Media Maven Award twice. Bill was also honored as Media Executive of the Year by Mediaweek and featured as one of its top 50 most influential executives in the industry.

Bill believes that the marketplace dynamics are right for a new media agency network to breathe creativity and innovation into the advertising industry, and recently announced the launch of a stand-alone agency, Canvas Worldwide, in partnership with INNOCEAN Worldwide. Canvas Worldwide combines the scale of INNOCEAN Worldwide’s global footprint with Horizon’s industry-leading media expertise, resources and strength in the market.

Bill is currently Chairman of the 4A’s Board of Directors, and serves on the board of the International Radio and Television Society and as Chairman of the Media Exposure Committee. Bill is Chairman of the Board for Columbus Media International, providing international coverage across 60 territories worldwide including North America, Latin America, Europe, Russia and Asia Pacific. He additionally serves on the board of philanthropic organizations including Partnership at Drugfree.org, and City Harvest, where he led Horizon in making a $250,000 donation to the organization as part of Horizon’s 20th anniversary celebration.
