Patrick Hounsell

Patrick currently leads Merkle’s Digital Media and Messaging team where he oversees the operations of the company’s digital media practices, which include strategy and analytics, display, search, paid social, mobile and email. Merkle’s media team serves some of the best known brands with a team of over 250 professionals.
Prior to Merkle, Patrick spent 12 years at Razorfish as SVP and GM Media and was responsible for leading Razorfish’s Media practice including paid media, search, social media, emerging media and ad operations. Patrick joined Razorfish in 2000 as an Account Director and held a variety of roles as the agency grew from an internet start-up into one of the most dominant digital agencies. In 2007, after serving on the management team of the New York office, Patrick moved to Chicago to become GM of the Digital Marketing and Media Group. On top of overseeing the media and creative capabilities, Patrick was responsible for launching the agency’s Social Media practice.
