Colin Jeavons

Colin Jeavons is the CEO of NTENT (formerly Vertical Search Works), a semantic search technology company delivering cross-channel advertising and content monetization experiences. At NTENT, Colin is responsible for the company’s strategic decisions and product direction to promote growth and profit.

Colin has over 27 years of experience in the publishing, digital media, advertising, and technology industries. His early entrepreneurial start in technology led to an interest in both content management systems and search engine directories.

Prior to his current position, Colin was CEO of Parliamentary Communications, the largest political communications group in Europe. At Parliamentary, he launched one of the most successful political sites in the UK, ePolitix.com, as well as Electus, Parliament Monitor, Parliamentary Magazine, The House Commons Magazine, Holyrood Magazine, Westminster Hall Word, and the Political Intelligence Unit before leading the sale of the network to Dods Parliamentary Communications.

During his time at Parliamentary, Colin led the creation of the organization’s first digital content management system and a new digital advertising model that served as a precursor to Google AdWords and AdSense. His successes continued to extend to political media organizations and digital ad agencies, where he developed and deployed an in-house paid search ad model that enabled commercial content to complement online editorial content.

This development parlayed the founding of his second company, FirstLightEra, which built and deployed a plug and play ad model for the publisher community to increase digital ad revenue from search-based advertising. In 2010, Colin led the reverse merger with the NASDAQ-traded company, Convera Corporation, to create Vertical Search Works, now known as NTENT.
