Nanea Reeves

Recognized by Digital Media Wire as one of the “25 Executives to Watch in Digital Media,” Nanea Reeves brings over 15 years of experience in the online service and digital distribution arena.  She has been directly involved in creating many innovative products, platforms and consumer destinations for multiple industries including video game publishing, ecommerce, entertainment and social/mobile applications.
  
Nanea joined Machinima as Chief Operating Officer where her primary focus has been on the build-out of a multi-channel distribution platform for the entertainment company. Most recently, Nanea was the Chief Product & Strategy Officer for Gaikai, the cloud services platform Company specializing in the delivery of streamed video games. Nanea was directly responsible for Gaikai’s product roadmap that included deployments to YouTube and Facebook as well as the overarching strategic direction of the company that helped to secure $30MM in Series C funding from Benchmark Capital, Intel Capital, NEA, Rustic Canyon, and Qualcomm Ventures. A strong advocate for digital distribution, Nanea is proud to be a member of the Gaikai Advisory Board and will oversee the execution of the partnership between the two companies.

Prior to joining Gaikai, Nanea ran Operations for the EA Global Online Group responsible for most of the central tech and consumer interfaces at Electronic Arts. Under her leadership, the EA Online Group was directly responsible for transforming EA’s legacy online systems into a highly scalable service layer that is now well deployed across multiple products and platforms.  

Nanea has been working in the games space since 2000 where she was one of the founding members of the JAMDAT management team.  JAMDAT was a mobile games company acquired in 2006 by Electronic Arts for $680MM. 
 
While at JAMDAT, Nanea was also responsible for delivering some of the first mobile subscription and direct to consumer mobile services in North America and Europe as well as the build-out of the company infrastructure for worldwide deployment and ongoing distribution of JAMDAT's mobile content.

Before JAMDAT, Nanea Reeves held various positions in product development and marketing for emerging new media and e-commerce companies including eToys, eCompanies, and Venu Interactive.  Well known in the digital content field, she began her career in motion pictures and television advertising/marketing.

Nanea is very happily married and is actively involved in her husband Victor's non-profit organization KarmaBlast.org that is dedicated to supporting small acts of charity around the world.
