Michael Leedy

Michael Leedy first started working as a consultant for American Eagle Outfitters before joining the company in 1996, as the Chief Marketing Officer for a 10 year span. During that time, Michael developed the first brand strategy for AE as well as launched AE.com. The AE Loyalty and Credit Card Programs were also initiated by Michael during this time. After taking a brief hiatus, he returned to his role as Chief Marketing Officer again in 2011. As Chief Marketing Officer for American Eagle and aerie, he is responsible for overseeing the Brand Strategy, Strategic Planning, Advertising and Creative Services, Media Planning & Buying, Visual Presentation, Store Design, CRM and Loyalty, AE.com, The AE Credit Card, Public Relations, Customer Research and Strategic Partnerships. Throughout his time as CMO, American Eagle Outfitters has grown from $150 million in sales to over $2 billion.
