Deborah Malone

Deborah Malone, a native New Yorker, whose Irish-American father and British mother formed a Brooklyn-London axis, is the Founder of The Internationalist, launched in January 2003 to connect the people and ideas in international advertising, marketing and media through content, thought leadership, community and collaboration.

The Internationalist has become a trusted source for international best practices, and is dedicated to the business needs and challenges of marketing professionals as they participate in multinational brand building. The Internationalist is available in print, online and in-person— through Think Tanks, Awards, Dinners and Summits— all to better serve the needs of this community. Among The Internationalist’s many projects are Trendsetters, Awards for Innovation in Media and Awards for Innovative Digital Solutions, Internationalists of the Year, Agency Innovators, plus other honors for industry pioneers throughout the world.

Prior to founding her company, Deborah Malone’s worked at CNBC as Global Vice President of Advertising & Marketing. She also spent 12 years at Crain Communications where she launched Advertising Age International, which also focused on multinational advertising and marketing.

She also served as CEO of the International Advertising Association from November 2011 to September 2012.
