Chris Zimmerman

Chris is a serial Brand Architect, leading business and cultural transformation in underperforming business units. In successive GM/President/CEO roles (Nike Golf, Bauer Hockey, Vancouver Canucks NHL Franchise, Easton Sports), Chris has driven strategic repositioning in each to establish a clear and distinctive Northstar that galvanized the team and fueled improved results.

The foundation of Chris' career was in advertising management. Chris spent 12 years learning the craft at Saatchi NY through a broad spectrum of clients from Wendy's to P&G. In 1995, Chris took the first of a series of dream jobs, becoming Director of US Advertising for Nike. In this role, he continued Nike's long heritage of creating memorable and engaging work that was instrumental in growing the Nike Brand.

Today, Chris is the Principal of the Bonfire Group, a consultancy delivering Strategic solutions for companies establishing new brands or being challenged to define the path to new growth. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Ritchie Brothers Auctioneers(NYSE) and privately held Flip Flop Shops, an Inc. 500 top performer.
