Vivian Rosenthal is the founder and CEO of Snaps, a mobile app that monetizes photos by turning consumers into content generators. Snaps connects fans to the brands, films, sports teams, celebrities and social causes they love and allows them to create personalized photo based ads.
Snaps has raised $3M dollars in funding from Ed Matthias from the Carlyle Group, Jeremy Zimmer from UTA, Steve Kantor from Cantor Fitzgerald, Ben Barokas from Admeld (bought by Google), Mike Katz from Interclick (bought by Yahoo) and Jonathan Carson from BuzzMetrics (bought by Nielsen), among others. Snaps has worked with dozens of clients including Nestle, Kate Spade, NBC Universal, Travel Channel, Nike, Bloomingdales, Samsung, Sony Pictures, Warner Brothers, The NY Giants, The Ravens, Sofia Vergara, Kraft and Airwalk.
Vivian has been featured in industry press including The New York Times, ABC News, Wired, Fast Company, AD Week and Bloomberg TV. She is a two time TEDx speaker. She has been named one of the Top 50 Global Creatives of 2010 by Creativity Magazine, and speaks frequently at conferences on the intersection of technology and advertising. She won the Microsoft Storytelling Award for the US in the brand category and was selected as one of the five women CEOs for the L’Oreal Next Awards, honoring women in technology. Snaps was chosen by the Wall Street Journal as one of the top 24 US startups of 2013. Snaps won the startup mobile category at Ad:Tech NY 2012.
