Fact: The tension that diversity creates isn’t always pleasant. It can be downright stressful as we are forced to deal with an array of differences from work styles and beliefs, to preferred cultural practices and approaches.

What do we do? We look to lessen the friction by turning to the familiar – choosing to work with people from similar backgrounds and experiences; people who look like us, think like us and act like us. In doing so, we often forego the ideas, creativity and innovation that can surface by becoming comfortable with diversity tension.

The American Advertising Federation would like to invite you to the 2013 Mosaic Forum "Get Inspired: Turning Diversity Tension Into Creative Gold." The forum will be a 90-minute discussion featuring risk-taking organizations that have learned to embrace diversity tension (the good, bad, ugly and beautiful) and their resulting innovations.
