Social entrepreneur, poet, mental health spokesman, campaigner and future astronaut, Hussain Manawer, is unlike anyone you will ever meet. A torchbearer for the London 2012 Olympics, Hussain gained notoriety through his online channel, Hussain’s House, where he interviews a host of influential public figures.
In 2015, Hussain entered and won the Kruger Cowne’s Rising Star Competition after a breath-taking spoken-word performance last November at the One Young World Summit in Bangkok. Winning against thousands of entrants from over 90 different countries, his enthusiastic and dynamic stage presence saw him battle the issues surrounding mental health.
As the voice of the next generation, Hussain will travel into space with XCOR Space Expeditions. Hussain is using this opportunity to campaign passionately about the global issue of mental wellbeing and aims to alleviate the stigma around this topic.
