Paul Smith is Head of Customer Insight and Planning for the Royal Bank of Scotland, including NatWest, Coutts and Ulster Bank brands In this role, he is responsible for ensuring the voice of all customers for all business areas is heard at all levels of the organisation.
Previously Paul was the Head of Marketing, Planning, Research & Effectiveness. Paul joined RBS in 2006 in Business Banking where he progressed to Head of Business Marketing. In March 2009 he moved over to Personal and Business Banking where he took up the role of Head of Sponsorship & Events and then moved on to be the Head of Brand Strategy.
Previous to Paul’s time in RBS he also worked in senior Marketing roles in the food industry where he progressed to Senior Brand Manager – Tassimo - in Kraft Foods.
Paul holds a First Class BA Honours degree in International Business & Modern Languages from the University of Strathclyde.
