Jane English

Jane chairs 4Women, Channel 4’s gender equality network. She oversees initiatives & events for its 400+ members, empowering Channel 4 women to achieve their own version of success.

In 2019, Jane led Channel 4’s pioneering launch of the UK media industry’s first ever menopause policy, after hearing that female colleagues were suffering in silence from perimenopausal symptoms. Jane believes passionately that menopause isn’t a ‘women’s issue’, it’s everyone’s issue, & hopes Channel 4’s actions will inspire others to help end the silence and stigma around menopause in the workplace.

Jane is also a Business Director in 4Creative, Channel 4’s award-winning in-house creative agency. She’s overseen campaigns that support minority voices & inspire social change, as well as marketing much-loved Channel 4 shows such as The Great British Bake Off. She’s currently working on the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games campaign, continuing Channel 4’s legacy for transforming attitudes towards disability.
