Maya Watono

Born in Indonesia, Maya lived in Australia for a long time. She studied Double Degree of Science & Commerce at the University of Western Australia, majoring in Psychology & Marketing. Graduated with Honours in Psychology, Maya started her career as a Psychologist and Marketing Case Manager at the Commonwealth Government’s Autism Association in Australia. In 2006, Maya moved back to Indonesia to join Dwi Sapta Group, one of the top Indonesian independent full service agency, as General Manager under the guidance of her father Adji Watono (CEO & Founder of Dwi Sapta Group). She became Director of the Group in 2010, in charge of all the businesses of the Group and grew the business three-fold. In 2017, Maya was promoted to CEO as Dwi Sapta Group became part of Dentsu Aegis Global Network. Dwi Sapta Group is now TOP 2 Agency in Indonesia. Maya is also the Head of International Affairs at the Indonesian Advertising Agency Associations and regularly writes for prominent Marketing Magazines.
