Coltrane Curtis

Born in Brooklyn and educated at Morehouse College, Coltrane Curtis has built a career on being first. He was an early employee at streetwear brand Ecko Unlimited, helped launch Complex as its first Editor-at-Large, and was a fashion VJ for MTV Style. Inspired by his father, founder of one of America’s first Black-owned ad agencies, Curtis launched Team Epiphany in 2004. This was before Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook, and as the first influencer marketing agency of its kind. Under his and wife Lisa Chu’s leadership, Team Epiphany has grown into a culture-first powerhouse with 100+ employees and offices in NYC, LA, and Miami. Its clients include Delta, Jordan, Campari, and Coca-Cola. Over two decades, the agency has become known for cultural decoding, brand positioning, experiences, content creation, amplification, and influencer engagement earning honors like Experiential Agency of the Year, Creative 100, and Small Agency of the Year.
