When most creators or celebs try their hand at entrepreneurship, they launch brands that appeal to their fans. Caspar Lee took a different path. As one of the original YouTubers who helped shape the creator industry as we know it, he used his experience and insight to improve the path for his predecessors, co-founding Influencer.com which has 175+ employees and has generated £100ms+ in deals for creators, and MVE, a transatlantic talent management company, backed by WME.
He recently announced his $45m Fund II alongside his cousin and partner Sasha Kaletsky (ex-Bridgepoint, Uber, Harvard Business School) - bringing their total AUM to $65M. Backed by tier-one investors including Sequoia, Cendana, Isomer, and Vintage, the fund focuses on early-stage consumer internet startups, with portfolio companies already acquired by the likes of Strava and Unilever.
Caspar’s journey from teenage YouTuber, growing up in a small town in South Africa, to industry leader and investor in his early 30s is a rare one - and his story now spans creator culture, venture capital, and building globally scaled businesses.
