In this session...
Brandland has a gender problem: Women are significantly underrepresented in key creative roles when it comes to the intersection of music and advertising—comprising less than 3% of music producers, approximately 12% of songwriters and 22% of artists.
We’re missing a beat in an industry where 80% of purchase decisions are influenced by women.
On stage at Advertising Week NY, representatives from prominent brands, music publishers and the world of music will explore how we can move the needle, together.
They’ll highlight how empowering women in music leads to powerful storytelling and authentic audience connections for brands - and how including diverse voices leads to better creative work.
(And then collectively, they’ll issue a strong call to action to make it clear what they expect from the industry as a whole, inviting the community to commit to a 35% mix in 2025.)
