Cynthia Jenkins

Cynthia's media career has focused on mainstreaming underserved minority cultures in advertising. She has sold radio, print, linear TV, and digital media for and to brands committed to reaching diverse consumers. She is a native New Yorker, natural storyteller, and risk-taker. Cynthia was a part of the team that founded and launched HOT97, the nation's first 24-hour hip-hop radio station, setting the tone for the over $50 billion dollar influential hip-hop lifestyle still relevant today. As a seller, she also represented Ebony/Jet, Working Mother magazines, and Pfizer. Unafraid of a challenge, she launched several media properties, WQHT, Air America Radio, BET’s Centric, and BETHer, and has led sales teams on national and international levels.

Before GroupM, Cynthia Jenkins was VP of Economic Empowerment at denstu. Cynthia is the Head of Supplier Diversity for GroupM US Investment and collaborates with clients and diverse media vendors to increase awareness and representation.
