A results-driven marketer specializing in creating cultural relevance and love for global lifestyle brands, Smita Reddy is U.S. Brand Chair at Edelman and the Global Client Lead for Edelman’s Unilever business. In her role, she serves as a senior client strategist and manages 250+ employees across the Edelman Global network. Her passion areas include mentoring and supporting the professional development of staff while driving business growth overall.
Her creative and strategic chops have been applied to building established and emerging brands in the beauty & personal care, food & beverage, technology, fashion and media industries. Her current and past clients include Unilever (AXE, Dove, Ben & Jerry’s, TRESemme), American Express, Church & Dwight, PepsiCo and HP and she has spearheaded partnerships with the NFL, New York Fashion Week, and Sony Entertainment.
Smita is on the leadership committee for Edelman’s Global Women’s Equality Network (GWEN), working to create an environment where women are encouraged to lead and succeed. She was recently named PR Week’s “40 Under 40” and was selected as a Juror for the Cannes Lion Awards: Glass Lion for Change, given her extensive background in Purpose marketing initiatives. Smita lives in New York with her husband and two daughters.
