Mitch Oscar

Mitchel Oscar is the Director of Advanced TV Strategy at advertising agency USIM.
He also serves as the president of HocusFocus, a media and marketing consultancy founded in 1993, whose mission is to provide guidance for the development and deployment of new video applications. He has held the following positions at major advertising agencies and holding companies: EVP, Managing Director of Innovation at MPG; EVP, Carat Digital; and SVP/Director of Media Futures at Universal McCann.

Mr. Oscar is the architect and host of The Collaborative Alliance, a quarterly forum in which on average 225 media professionals gathered over lunch to help navigate the future of the consumer and advertiser relationship within the evolving televisual landscape. Its most recent iteration is The Secret Society, which meets twice a year, sports 200+ in attendance and whose topics include OTT, addressable TV advertising, attribution, automatic content recognition, programmatic TV and contextual audience networks. Also, he is the publisher of HocusFocus, a weekly media ecosystem newsletter.

Mr. Oscar is a standing member of industry trade associations and a frequent panelist and speaker at industry events. Media agencies collaborations have resulted in various Agency of the Year awards (Carat, USIM, Havas) involving advanced TV and subject matter contributions to the media community.
