Otto Bell is chief creative officer of Courageous, CNN’s in-house brand studio dedicated to creating global, cross-platform content for brand marketers across CNN, HLN and Great Big Story. In this role, he leads a self-sufficient, full-time team of award-winning brand journalists, filmmakers, designers and producers committed to helping brands fulfill their business objectives and breakthrough in memorable ways.
Under Bell’s leadership, Courageous Studios has been honored with notable recognition, including Adweek’s “Hottest in Branded Content” and Digiday’s “Best Video Publishing Partner for Brands” in 2018, and Turner Ignite and CNN’s first Cannes Lions in 2017, among many others. Bell was also named an “Adweek Young Influential” in 2018. In addition to his industry accomplishments, Bell debuted his first documentary, “The Eagle Huntress,” to wide acclaim at Sundance in 2016, and was named one of Variety’s “Top 10 Directors to Watch.”
