Barbara Williams has served as Deputy Policy Director for Governor Andrew M Cuomo since late 2015. Prior to joining the administration, Barbara spent nearly a decade at the U.S. Department of State. Other roles have included Deputy Cultural Attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City, and advisor to the Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs. She is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. Barbara has a B.A. in Political Science and a Master of Arts in Regional Economic and Social Development from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell.
