With a blank piece of paper, a small wad of cash, and an enormous dream, Nick Romero has turned his concept of a one-of-a-kind customizable sneaker shop on the boardwalk in Venice Beach, California, into a profitable and thriving reality that draws in a diversified clientele, including everyone from celebrities to grandmothers. True to his entrepreneurial spirit, in August, 2014, Nick patented his own shoe-printing technology and has extended third-party licensing in both Europe and Canada, with more on the way. The Ave’s services are also at a global level through an online store, complete with the same customization options offered in his storefront in California. He has also appeared on ABC's Shark Tank, MTV's "The Dub Magazine Project", G4's "Attack of the Show", and Ovation TV's "The Art of Sneakers".
